Principal's Message

Heards Ferry Families -

I am delighted to be a part of the Heards Ferry community and to serve as your child’s principal. 

Heards Ferry is proud to be an International Baccalaureate (IB) school.  The aim of an IB program aims “to develop internationally minded people who, recognizing their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet, help to create a better and more peaceful world”.  One of many benefits of being an IB school is that our students have the opportunity to study Spanish as a part of their weekly Specials rotation! 

At Heards Ferry, we take great pride in building a strong foundation that helps students reach their full potential. Creating a safe, caring, and inclusive environment that meets the needs of all learners is our top priority. Our dedicated educators work diligently to support and accelerate our Eagles both academically and socially. 

We are fortunate to have a strong parent-school partnership through the Eagle Alliance, our Parent-Teacher Organization. The Eagle Alliance’s mission is to foster a caring environment, support academic programs, plan events throughout the academic year, and provide resources to the Heards Ferry community.  Working hand-in-hand with our staff, the Eagle Alliance helps provide academic, enrichment, and extracurricular programming, as well as special events and valuable resources for students and teachers.

This is an exciting time to be at Heards Ferry and I look forward to partnering with your family for a fantastic school year where our Eagles will SOAR!
